Peter C. Drummond

Peter C. Drummond founded Drummond Law in 1978 after earning his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Knox College. For decades, he has represented injured workers and disability claimants throughout Illinois, securing benefits for thousands of individuals. His practice focuses on workers’ compensation and Social Security disability matters.
Katherine A. Drummond

Katherine A. Drummond joined Drummond Law in 2022 after practicing in the Quad Cities as a partner and serving as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Florida. Her practice includes criminal defense, DCFS appeals, driver’s license reinstatements, juvenile law, traffic and conservation defense, and workers’ compensation and disability benefits. She has served in leadership roles within the Illinois criminal defense community, including as President of the Illinois Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and remains active in professional and community organizations.
Kaylan Schardan

Kaylan Schardan joined Drummond Law in 2026. She is the former staff and intake attorney for the Illinois Innocence Project, as well as a former associate public defender. In her position at the Illinois Innocence Project, she practiced criminal post-conviction litigation and also led investigation of wrongful conviction cases. As a law student, she drafted and argued a Petition for Executive Clemency on behalf of a wrongfully convicted individual who was then granted a full pardon and expungement. Her practice includes criminal defense, clemency, post-conviction, juvenile law, traffic and DUI defense, and workers’ compensation and disability benefits. In addition, she is an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois-Springfield, where she teaches a legal studies course on wrongful conviction. She is a member of the Illinois Bar Association as well as other local bar associations.

Rebecca M. Drummond joined Drummond Law in 2024 and is federally licensed to represent clients pursuing Social Security and disability benefits. She earned her bachelor’s degree in History from Knox College and holds real estate and insurance brokerage licenses. She supports disability clients through the claims process and related case preparation.
